Targeting: Supported by a proprietary database of more than 20,000 contacts, TripleTree maintains a vast network of relationships with corporations, private equity firms, and accredited investors, supplemented by an array of third-party data and resources. Hundreds of briefings are conducted every year to keep a pulse on marketplace drivers and strategic alliances. Rather than taking the shotgun approach used by many of our competitors, the depth and breadth of our network enables a more efficient, highly-targeted, and effective alternative. Our market intelligence and keen insight enables effective targeting of prospects and ensures that the intentions of our clients are only known by those with a qualified interest and capability to complete a transaction. Managing: Throughout the process, TripleTree manages the exchange of information with prospects, fields and screens all questions, qualifies interest, monitor changes in the marketplace, assesses offers, and advises the best course of action. We work closely with our clients’ management teams to prepare for meetings with interested parties, including developing presentations and related materials. Negotiating: Creating a competitive environment doesn’t always help in negotiating transactions. The art of negotiation is constructing deals that deliver real benefits and value to all parties, then providing a clear path for the transaction. TripleTree has a track record of achieving valuations for our clients that are significantly higher than industry averages. By creating mutually beneficial solutions with targeted strategic and financial prospects, we are able to negotiate transactions that maximize shareholder value for all parties.
Closing: Engaging the right clients, applying our research on their business and marketplace, telling a compelling investment story to the right prospects, managing the due diligence and negotiation process, and negotiating the right deal are the standard elements of the proven TripleTree transaction process. Having closed more than 150 transactions with total enterprise value exceeding $7 billion, with many more transactions closed by our professionals elsewhere during their careers, we work closely with the attorneys, accountants and other advisors on transactions to stay actively involved in conversations and, if needed, overcome obstacles.
